Wet Etch - Process Engineer Manager
Hays is a semiconductor manufacturing company seeking a seasoned engineering leader to oversee wet etch operations. The role involves guiding a team of process engineers to ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement in a high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
Maintaining robust process control and driving enhancements in quality and efficiency
Leading initiatives for capacity growth, new process development, and technology transfers
Implementing cost-reduction strategies while sustaining high standards of performance
Collaborating with operations, equipment engineering, integration, and R&D to meet customer requirements and deliver products on time
Partnering with global teams to benchmark and optimize wet etch processes across the organization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science (advanced degree preferred)
6+ years of experience in Wet Etch process engineering with a bachelor's degree
Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role within a semiconductor fabrication environment, with proven success in team development
Deep technical knowledge of Wet Etch principles, materials, and applications
Hands-on experience with tools such as Akrion, DNS, SEZ, and/or Semitool
Familiarity with advanced CMOS and RF wafer processing technologies
Strong analytical skills, including DOE techniques and statistical analysis (knowledge of JMP and PROMIS is a plus)
Experience qualifying new tools and processes efficiently
A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills to work effectively across functions and geographies
High sense of ownership, data-driven decision-making, and adaptability to shifting priorities
