Responsibilities
Review and follow applicable design standards for roadway geometric design and prepare design drawings, specifications, notes, and details for various projects while using applicable Microstation and/ or AutoCAD design software
Review utility records, develop Utility relocation design plans, coordinate with various agencies and private utility companies within the NYC Metro Area to facilitate the progression of projects, while using applicable Micro station and/ or AutoCAD design software
Develop design drawings, specifications, notes, and details
Attend site walkthrough’s, meetings, and inspections as required
Put together meeting minutes and reports as required
The individual would be expected to assist the Project Manager in the completion of all phases of project development, attend meetings, and coordinate with other disciplines
Attend meetings and coordinate with public agencies and private utility companies as needed
Coordinate with other disciplines to facilitate design efforts
Participate in QAQC of drawings, specifications, reports, and calculations as required by scope of projects assigned
Assist in Bid Phase Support if necessary
Assist in Construction support as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
Experience with Microstation and/or AutoCAD design software
Ability to review and follow applicable design standards for roadway geometric design
Experience in developing design drawings, specifications, notes, and details
Ability to review utility records and develop utility relocation design plans
Experience in coordinating with various agencies and private utility companies
Ability to attend site walkthroughs, meetings, and inspections
Experience in putting together meeting minutes and reports
Ability to assist the Project Manager in the completion of all phases of project development
Experience in coordinating with other disciplines to facilitate design efforts
Participation in QAQC of drawings, specifications, reports, and calculations
Ability to assist in Bid Phase Support if necessary
Ability to assist in Construction support as required
