OpenLoop AI is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Tech Lead to design, manage, and scale their cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting systems that ensure reliability, performance, security, and compliance across the entire stack.

Responsibilities

Own and scale GCP infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain secure, reliable cloud systems using GCP, Kubernetes, and IaC tools like Terraform and Helm

Support deployments & CI/CD: Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure smooth releases, optimized cloud resources, and strong observability

Manage databases: Oversee PostgreSQL, Redis, and ClickHouse performance, tuning, backups, and high-availability strategies

Lead network operations: Configure and troubleshoot VPCs, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, DNS, and routing

Drive security & compliance: Implement IAM best practices, encryption, audit logging, vulnerability scanning, and ensure SOC 2 / HIPAA compliance

Required

5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or cloud operations

Strong hands-on experience with GCP services and architecture

Proficient with Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment

Deep understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPCs, VPNs)

Proven database administration experience, including performance tuning and HA strategies

Expertise with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Helm)

Strong understanding of cloud security principles and IAM

Proficient in scripting and automation (Bash, Python, Go)

Preferred

GCP certifications (Professional Cloud Architect, Cloud Network Engineer)

Advanced Kubernetes cluster management experience (GKE, EKS, self-managed)

Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Stackdriver, Datadog)

Experience in regulated environments or compliance-heavy infrastructure
