They are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Sr. Cost Analyst to champion loss elimination activities within the plant and act as a business partner across various teams to support strategic projects and improve financial performance.

Responsibilities
Designs tools and resources for production, business development and process engineering to assist them in identifying, quantifying, prioritizing and monitoring losses within the plant
Supports the Plant Controller & Operations Manager in guiding and driving the loss analysis and productivity agenda and will report to the Controller
Holds process owners accountable for the financial performance of loss elimination plans and assesses and communicates the financial risks/opportunities of these plans on a periodic basis
Track actual performance against relevant KPI’s, production standard and also track direct fixed cost spending
Supports the Plant Controller in assessing the financial viability of productivity driven projects and focus improvement plans across all lines in the plant
Leads the assessment of volume, sku/mix portfolio and asset utilization and labor optimization initiatives
Support accurate product costing
Collect and check integrity of shift data in order to produce correct calculations
This position may or may not have other Accounting/Finance positions reporting to it. This will be based on workload or changes in requirements of the department
Assist with other duties as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing environment
Strong analytical & problem solving skills
Able to work in fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Must be proactive and able to work independently with little supervision
Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal and Written)
Must be a team player, possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization
Preferred
TPM/Lean experience is a plus
SAP knowledge is an asset
Highly proficient in Excel/Spreadsheet skills
