Responsibilities
Regular interactions with our customers delivering environmental performance leadership and guidance
Implement environmental standards, policies and practices including, but not limited to; environmental management systems, training, risk assessments, and applicable environmental regulations
Conduct environmental compliance audits of data centers and active construction sites to ensure compliance with environmental requirements and for continuous improvement
Perform environmental incident investigations and associated regulatory reports, and develop appropriate corrective actions
Maintain adequate compliance record keeping and data integrity
Perform data trend analysis to present to cluster leadership to support business and environmental compliance initiatives
Consult and partner with compliance and legal teams for interpretations and guidance
Represent Amazon at appropriate levels with governmental agencies and throughout the company
Prepare and submit time-critical reports to various governmental agencies
Qualification
Required
Experience developing and implementing environmental compliance programs including regulated waste, water, and air regulations in accordance with applicable laws
BA/BS degree in environmental engineering or related field of study
1+ years of experience serving as an environmental technical resource, compliance specialist, or regulatory program manager
Preferred
Experience developing solutions and executing plans on complex projects
Experience using data, reporting, or tools to measure performance and make adjustments accordingly
Experience leading change in multiple site environments and influencing those that are not direct reports or within your organization
Experience in a fast paced, dynamic organization
Experience in project or program management
