Responsibilities

Developing new business for the bank by calling on prospective commercial members

Retaining existing members through follow-up and by providing excellent service

Interviewing applicants to develop information concerning their businesses, needs, desires, abilities, and earnings to determine whether a loan may be an acceptable risk

Obtaining and analyzing financial data and providing service on approved lines of credit, equipment financing loans, etc

Drafting necessary documents and agreements

Conducting credit checks

Making decisions on loans and terms if within the lending limits or making recommendations to a superior lending officer

Following current loans to ensure complete conformity with terms and knowledge of developing trends

Calling on potential or existing members and introducing them to other departments when another service is needed

Supervising and giving direction to staff (if applicable)

Obeys all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML), including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
