Responsibilities

Provide manufacturing engineering for Laser Scoring and Vibration Welding equipment, tools, and processes to support new program launches at Inteva manufacturing sites; including writing specifications, supporting machine installation and debug, and implementation of MES traceability system at the plants

Provide project management to ensure equipment and tools to be ready on time, within budget, meeting all quality standards, and meeting all pertinent safety standards

Provide new equipment specifications and generate equipment statement of requirements

Support other Equipment Engineers for supplier-built machines including design approvals, machine buyoffs, and machine installation at Inteva manufacturing sites

Support Inteva prototype part builds both in-house and at equipment supplier sites

Support Inteva manufacturing sites with any continuous improvement or in-plant support as needed

Required

Experience in design and/or build of manufacturing systems

Extensive experience in machine controls and PLC programming/hardware

Effective problem solving skills

Competent ability with computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project

Works effectively in a team environment

Strong degree of self-motivation and self-direction

Willingness to travel to support plant launches

Strong organization, communication, and documentation skills

Competent in PanelView Plus, Contrologix 5000 & Allen Bradley PLC5

Preferred

Familiarity with instrument panel manufacturing systems, tools, processes, and materials

Robotic systems experience

Familiarity with the MSD process

Ability to manage multiple tasks under demanding situations

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

Familiarity with PFMEA implementation
