Responsibilities
Linguistic Data Annotation: Produce interlinear gloss for Diné/Navajo sentences
Cross-Linguistic Comparison: Interact with other native language speakers to compare challenges in morpheme segmentation and interlinear gloss creation
Research Collaboration: Engage/consult with linguists as needed for guidance on linguistic analysis and methodology
Paper Development: Assist with the final stages of a research paper, including editing, formatting, and content refinement
Communication: Maintain regular communication with faculty, staff, and students regarding project progress
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
Familiarity with or expertise in the Diné/Navajo language is highly desirable
A strong interest in linguistics, language technologies, or computational linguistics
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage variable weekly hours
A combination of education and meaningful experience from which comparable knowledge is proven may be considered
