BakerHostetler is seeking an experienced and dynamic Attorney Recruiting Manager to lead attorney hiring initiatives for their Atlanta and Orlando offices. This role involves collaborating with leadership to implement recruiting strategies, managing the full lifecycle of lateral attorney hiring, and overseeing various recruiting initiatives to support the firm's growth objectives.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Office Managing Partners and Practice Group Leaders to design and implement recruiting strategies that support the firm’s long-term business goals and strengthen its market position in the Southeast

Build and maintain strong relationships with leading search firms and industry contacts to ensure a steady pipeline of high-caliber lateral candidates

Manage the full lifecycle of lateral attorney hiring—from sourcing and direct outreach to candidate engagement, screening, and offer negotiation—while ensuring a seamless and professional experience for candidates and internal stakeholders

Coordinate all aspects of the interview process, including scheduling, feedback consolidation, and decision facilitation

Advise leadership on candidate evaluation and offer development to secure top talent

Oversee recruiting budgets for the Atlanta and Orlando offices, ensuring efficient resource allocation and compliance with firm processes

Provide strategic direction for campus recruiting initiatives while supervising the Recruiting Coordinator in executing day-to-day activities such as OCI programs, resume collections, and outreach events

Deliver strategic oversight for two summer associate programs, ensuring alignment with talent development goals

Collaborate with Firmwide Recruiting leadership on Southeast-focused initiatives

Prepare and deliver confidential, strategic communications—including Policy Committee memos—to support partner recruiting and executive decision-making

Lead coordination of hiring committee meetings, ensuring timely delivery of critical materials for informed decisions

Support associate mentor program leaders in Atlanta and Orlando with professional development initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree required

Minimum of 7+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in a law firm or legal search firm environment

Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and other attorney search tools

MS Office Suite required

Familiarity with ViGlobal suite is a plus

Advanced interviewing techniques and strong understanding of attorney recruiting best practices

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels

Highest level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information

Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to anticipate and resolve issues efficiently
