They are seeking a K-5 Social Studies Curriculum Writer to write and adapt standards-aligned curriculum, create lesson plans, assessments, and materials that promote civic understanding and historical thinking.

Responsibilities
Write and adapt Social Studies curriculum and instructional materials (units, lesson plans, assessments, student materials)
Collaborate with subject matter experts, editors, and instructional designers
Incorporate evidence-based best practices in Social Studies instruction
Revise materials based on client feedback
Support development of professional learning materials for teachers
Apply knowledge of current trends in Social Studies education
Integrate innovative strategies and tools to enhance learner engagement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in history, social studies, education, or related field
Familiarity with AI tools and comfort learning new software platforms
Excellent writing skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Commitment to educational equity
Comfort with project management tools and deadlines
Commitment to organizational mission and inclusion
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to manage, prioritize, and multitask
Ability to navigate ambiguity and meet frequent deadlines
