Senior Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that robust systems and processes are established and maintained to consistently deliver products and services that meet or exceed quality standards and customer expectations, leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive quality management system.

Responsibilities
Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a robust Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Develop, maintain, and revise quality policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and best practices
Design and oversee quality control processes to mitigate risks and ensure quality throughout product development, manufacturing, and service delivery
Conduct and support process audits and verification activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify improvement opportunities
Define, monitor, and report on key quality performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of the QMS
Analyze quality data, customer feedback, and non-conformance reports to drive root cause analysis and identify systemic process deficiencies
Lead and support the execution of corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and enhance process performance
Champion continuous improvement efforts using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured approaches
Partner with cross-functional teams to drive process optimization and improve overall efficiency and quality
Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams to define supplier quality standards and oversee compliance through audits and evaluations
Manage supplier-related quality issues and work closely with suppliers to develop and implement improvement plans
Provide training and guidance on quality management systems, tools, and best practices to internal teams
Promote a culture of quality by increasing awareness and understanding of quality principles across the organization
Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and certification requirements
Monitor regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure the QMS remains current and compliant
Monitor customer satisfaction metrics and feedback to identify areas for improvement
Implement corrective actions to enhance customer experience and maintain high standards of product and service quality
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated experience in quality management, ideally within a related industry or comparable field
Strong understanding of quality management principles, methodologies, and applicable industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001)
Proficient in the use of quality tools and techniques, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root Cause Analysis, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills with a focus on continuous improvement
Effective communicator and team leader with the ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams to foster a culture of quality
Proven problem-solving abilities with a track record of implementing practical and sustainable solutions
Experience leading quality audits and driving improvement initiatives across processes and systems
Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and certifications, with the ability to ensure ongoing compliance
Committed to quality excellence, with a proactive approach to upholding and advancing organizational standards
Must have basic reading and writing skills in the English language
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Able to convert decimals to fractions and fractions to decimals
Ability to read a tape measure within 1/16”
Advanced data entry, proficient in MS Office (Excel, PPT, Word, Visio) skills including how to print documents
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Quality Management, Engineering, Business Administration) or equivalent experience
10+ years of related experience
5+ years of continuous improvement experience
Preferred
Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., ASQ certifications) are a plus
