Early Intervention Service Coordinator

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is a large agency focused on ensuring the health and well-being of North Carolinians. They are seeking an Early Intervention Service Coordinator to provide service coordination for children in the NC Infant-Toddler Program and support their families and caregivers.

Responsibilities

Working with families and team members to develop functional Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs)
Working with multi-disciplinary teams to determine families’ needs for supports and services
Conducting home visits
Coordinating services, such as speech and physical therapy
Arranging and monitoring other early intervention services
Planning for transition to other services at age three

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education, Psychology from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of professional experience working with the population served
Bachelor's degree in human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of professional experience working with the population served
an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred

Experience working with children in the age range 0 – 3 on developmental or educational goals, including children with developmental delays
Working knowledge of young child development, including developmental milestones
Experience working with and collaborating with families and other professionals on early intervention techniques/resources
