The Collateral Mortgage Underwriter will review residential real estate appraisals, ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, and mentor processors while supporting originators with their inquiries.

Responsibilities

Review residential real estate appraisals to determine sufficient value is established to secure associated mortgage loans

Review appraisal reports to determine compliance with all agency and regulatory guidelines as well as investor overlays and TowneBank requirements

Review condominium and PUD project documentation to determine compliance with agency and investor requirements for approving and certifying lender representations and warranties

Complete all necessary forms to comply with regulatory, investor, bank and agency guidelines

Record appropriate data and status into processing system

Mentor and support processors

Support Originators as a resource for questions

Other duties as needed

Obey all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
