Responsibilities
Product Documentation: Write and maintain user guides, API documentation, technical specifications, and other product-related content
Collaborate with Teams: Partner with engineers, product managers, and designers to gather information and ensure accurate documentation of features and updates
Improve Documentation Standards: Help establish and improve documentation processes and best practices across the company
User-Centered Writing: Write clear, concise, and accurate documentation aimed at various audiences, from developers to non-technical users. Ability to maintain a consistent voice, a clear and engaging tone, and a solid grasp of grammar and usage rules
Content Review: Edit and review documentation produced by other team members to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency
Continuous Improvement: Continuously update and improve documentation as new product features are developed or existing ones are updated
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in technical writing
Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts
A basic understanding of software development, APIs, and web technologies
Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders
Experience with documentation tools such as Markdown, Confluence, GitHub, or similar platforms
High attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred
Familiarity with common programming languages and development tools
Familiarity with version control systems
Experience in a startup environment or at a Series A/B tech company
