Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise server infrastructure (physical and virtual), including Windows and Linux environments
Administer and optimize virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365)
Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and identity/access management
Oversee network infrastructure in collaboration with network teams, including firewalls, VPNs, switches, and wireless access points
Ensure system security through patch management, endpoint protection, vulnerability remediation, and adherence to cybersecurity best practices
Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity; proactively identify and resolve issues
Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including backups, testing, and documentation
Serve as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues and root-cause analysis
Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations
Develop and maintain system documentation, standards, and operating procedures
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior systems administrators and IT support staff
Collaborate with application, security, and business teams to support enterprise systems and initiatives
Support compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, ISO, NIST, or similar frameworks) as applicable
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of progressive experience in systems administration or infrastructure engineering roles
Strong expertise in Windows Server environments; working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems
Extensive experience with virtualization technologies and enterprise storage solutions
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and hybrid environments
Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, identity management, and access controls
Solid understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, and network security
Proven experience with backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Experience supporting ERP systems, manufacturing systems, or other mission-critical enterprise applications
Familiarity with endpoint management tools, monitoring platforms, and configuration management systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead projects with minimal supervision
