VP of Procurement
Confidential is seeking a seasoned Vice President of Procurement with deep expertise in commodities trading and procurement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building a strategic procurement function and developing innovative buying models to manage market volatility in commodities such as coffee, tea, sugar, and packaging materials.

Responsibilities
Build, deploy, and continuously refine a strategic procurement function across all procurement categories within the business
Define and execute procurement strategies for coffee, tea, sugar, and packaging
Lead global sourcing initiatives to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply
Monitor global commodity markets and trends, with emphasis on coffee, tea, sugar, and packaging
Develop and implement buying models to hedge against spot market volatility
Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships to optimize cost and quality
Establish procurement processes, systems, and governance frameworks to drive efficiency and compliance
Collaborate with finance and supply chain teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives
Deliver measurable cost savings and supply resilience through strategic initiatives
Identify and mitigate risks related to commodity price fluctuations, supply disruptions, and geopolitical factors
Implement risk management frameworks and contingency plans
Build, mentor, and develop a talented team of procurement professionals
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration
Ensure the team is equipped with the skills, tools, and market insights to excel globally
Qualification
Required
20+ years of progressive procurement experience, with at least 15 years in a senior leadership role
Strong background in commodities procurement, specifically coffee, tea, sugar, and packaging
Demonstrated success in spot market buying and building hedging/buying models
Proven experience in building and deploying strategic procurement functions at scale
Deep understanding of global supply chains, commodity markets, and procurement best practices
Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and financial modeling skills
Preferred
Advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or related field
