The Wig Sales Associate plays a key role in helping customers choose the right wig based on their needs, style preferences, and comfort, while also promoting additional products and providing excellent customer service.
Retail
Responsibilities
Customer Consultation – Assist customers in selecting wigs based on their face shape, skin tone, lifestyle, and personal preferences
Product Knowledge – Stay updated on different wig types (synthetic, human hair, lace front, etc.), cap constructions, and styling techniques
Sales & Upselling – Promote wig care products (shampoos, conditioners, styling tools) and accessories (wig caps, adhesives) to enhance customer experience
Fitting & Styling Assistance – Help customers try on wigs, adjust fit, and provide basic styling advice
Education & Care Guidance – Teach customers proper wig maintenance, storage, and handling for longevity
Inventory Management – Restock wigs, track sales, and ensure proper organization of display units
Sanitation & Hygiene – Maintain clean try-on areas, sanitize wigs, and follow hygiene protocols
Handling Transactions – Process payments, manage returns/exchanges, and ensure a smooth checkout experience
Customer Service & Follow-up – Provide excellent service to encourage repeat business and build customer loyalty
Social Media & Marketing (Optional) – Engage with customers online through promotions, tutorials, or live demonstrations if required
Qualification
Required
Wig Expertise – Understanding different wig materials, styles, and care techniques
Customer Service – Friendly, patient, and able to assist diverse clients (e.g., fashion buyers, medical hair loss clients)
Sales & Persuasion – Ability to recommend and upsell products while maintaining customer trust
Attention to Detail – Ensuring proper fit, style, and product presentation
Communication Skills – Clear explanations and recommendations for customers
Problem-Solving – Quickly resolving customer concerns about fit, comfort, or maintenance
Time Management – Balancing multiple customers and tasks efficiently
Organizational Skills – Keeping track of inventory and maintaining a neat store layout
Physical Stamina – Ability to stand for long hours and occasionally lift product boxes
Preferred
Language: Preferably : English/Spanish/Portuguese
Basic Styling Skills – Knowledge of cutting, trimming, or curling wigs is a plus
Social Media & Marketing (Optional) – Engage with customers online through promotions, tutorials, or live demonstrations if required
