Responsibilities
Lead the bid operations department, ensuring all team functions align with strategic business goals
Oversee the entire bid process, from intake and qualification to submission and post-mortem analysis
Establish and maintain best practices, workflows, and training to drive quality, efficiency, and compliance
Collaborate with executive leadership to prioritize bid requests and drive cross-functional process improvements
Evaluate resource needs, manage staffing, and provide ongoing coaching and professional development for your team
Ensure information and content management systems are maintained and accessible for all stakeholders
Champion a culture of innovation, inclusion, and operational excellence
Qualification
Required
Expert in proposal management and bid operations, with a passion for process improvement
Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with executive leadership
Skilled in developing, implementing, and optimizing processes for efficiency and compliance
Strong experience in proposal writing, technical communication, and business writing
Excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
3+ years of proposals department management experience
Experienced in training, mentoring, and developing staff
Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Word
Committed to inclusive, bias-free, and values-driven leadership
Willing to take on evolving responsibilities based on business needs
Preferred
Bachelor's degree (English, Technical Communication, or Communications-related preferred)
