Responsibilities
Provide hands-on installation, configuration, and support for IP routers, switches, telephony systems, and customer premises equipment
Design, build, and deploy secure and scalable LAN/WAN network solutions, including hardware, software, communication links, and related services
Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance to ensure continuous uptime and reliability
Troubleshoot network issues across Layer 1–Layer 7 and implement solutions to prevent recurrence
Ensure all network infrastructure meets organizational standards, security requirements, and best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new implementations, upgrades, and service deployments
Qualification
Required
5–8 years of hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper routers and switches
Strong understanding of routing, switching, and VLANs within enterprise-scale environments
Solid knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 internetworking technologies, including OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPNs, QoS, and related protocols
Proficiency with firewalls, such as Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX, Check Point NG, or equivalent
Experience supporting network infrastructure across multi-site or distributed systems
Strong background in internetworking design, architecture, and real-world application
Preferred
Knowledge of LTE/5G fundamentals and experience with carriers (e.g., Verizon)
Experience with Cradlepoint, NetCloud Manager, or related 4G/5G connectivity platforms
Familiarity with APIs, scripting/automation, and modern orchestration tools
Experience with Ciena platforms
SD-WAN technologies
NGFW/UTM solutions
SASE frameworks
Versa platforms
