Responsibilities

Oversee preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and manage annual and quarterly audits with external auditors
Monitor and implement changes in accounting standards to maintain compliance
Ensure compliance with UK SOX (if applicable), company policies, and industry regulations
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accuracy and efficiency
Design, maintain, and monitor robust internal controls to safeguard company assets
Manage cash flow forecasts, general ledger reconciliations, and expense analysis
Identify and mitigate financial risks through strong policies and oversight
Partner with the Controller to streamline and optimize accounting processes and systems
Oversee inventory valuation, costing methodologies, and reconciliation processes
Ensure accurate recording of cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory adjustments
Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to maintain accurate inventory reporting
Implement and monitor controls around inventory management and cost accounting processes
Oversee JV Accountant to ensure timely and accurate recording of JV transactions, allocations, and distributions
Manage accounting and reporting for joint ventures, including equity method and proportionate consolidation as applicable
Support compliance with JV agreements and related financial obligations
Mentor, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals to achieve departmental and organizational goals
Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture aligned with company values
Set clear objectives, provide ongoing performance feedback, and facilitate training and career development initiatives
Support strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities
Collaborate with executive leadership to align financial strategies with overall company objectives
Participate in due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic or special projects as required

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA designation strongly preferred
8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role
Deep knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting principles
Proven expertise with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel/financial modeling skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a track record of driving change and process improvement
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, deadlines, and cross-functional collaboration

Preferred

Public accounting experience is a plus
