Intellectual Property Paralegal
BrownWinick is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Intellectual Property (IP) Paralegal to join their growing IP practice group. The role involves preparing and filing various intellectual property documents, managing IP docketing systems, and communicating with clients and foreign associates regarding IP matters.

Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and file patent, trademarks, copyright applications, amendments, renewals, and other related documents with the USPTO and foreign intellectual property offices
Draft and file oath and declarations and recordation documents such as assignments, name changes, mergers, licenses, and security interests
Manage and maintain IP docketing systems, including docketing deadlines for filings, office action responses, renewals, maintenance fees, and annuities
Oversee international filings and prosecution, including PCT, Madrid Protocol, and coordination with foreign associates
Review and promptly report all USPTO and foreign intellectual property office notifications, correspondence, and official actions to clients
Conduct trademark searches and prepare search reports as needed
Communicate directly with clients, inventors, examiners, and foreign associates regarding IP prosecution and portfolio matters
Assist with IP enforcement, oppositions, cancellations, and litigation support
Maintain proficiency with IP management software and electronic filing systems
Qualification
Required
Minimum 2 years of IP paralegal experience (law firm or corporate setting)
Strong knowledge of USPTO procedures and IP docketing systems
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred
Experience with IP management software
