Estate Planning Paralegal

Hinkle Law Firm LLC is seeking an Estate Planning Paralegal to support attorneys in administering trusts and estates. The role involves drafting and organizing estate planning documents, managing client information, and ensuring legal and financial steps are completed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Draft and prepare estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, living wills, and other related instruments
Review attorney notes, client information, and intake data to ensure accurate drafting and proper customization
Coordinate with attorneys to incorporate revisions, address client-specific needs, and ensure documents reflect the intended legal structure
Maintain drafting templates and assist with updates to ensure compliance with current laws and firm standards
Assist with client file organization, document version control, and internal workflows
Assist with trust and estate administration from initiation through completion
Gather and organize asset information, statements, tax documents, and beneficiary details
Assist with beneficiary communications, meeting preparation, and the execution of documents
Communicate with attorneys and team members regarding drafting timelines, required information, and follow-up items
Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions and document handling
Conduct light legal or procedural research related to estate and trust administration

Required

Paralegal Certificate or Associate's degree required
Ability to work efficiently in Windows-based computer applications
Good interpersonal skills with attorneys and staff at all levels of the firm
Self-starter, highly organized and motivated
Ability to work 9 hour daily schedule M-Th with ½ day on Fridays, overtime as needed, and maintain an acceptable level of attendance and punctuality
Ability to communicate critical information by conveying the information clearly, accurately, honestly and concisely in accordance with company and practice area policies and procedures

Preferred

Bachelor's degree preferred
1–3 years of experience in estate planning or legal document drafting preferred
Previous experience with calendaring and scheduling appointments in Outlook
