Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain data models, data warehouses, and ETL pipelines
Develop scalable data solutions using modern programming languages and distributed systems
Build and support data infrastructure using relational and analytical databases, search technologies, and big data platforms
Create design documents and partner with product managers to define data engineering strategies
Build backend and frontend components that support user-facing data tools
Apply software engineering best practices across the full development lifecycle, including code reviews, testing, and deployments
Communicate effectively with users, technical teams, and management to gather requirements and explain technical decisions
Own projects independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Deliver high-quality solutions with a strong focus on operational excellence
Qualification
Required
5+ years of data engineering experience
Strong experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL pipeline development
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, JavaScript, Python, Scala, or NodeJS)
Knowledge of distributed systems for data storage and computation
Experience with data infrastructure such as relational analytic databases, search technologies, and big data platforms
Bachelor's degree required
Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results
Java – Strong experience building and supporting production-grade data systems
JavaScript – Experience supporting application or data-related components
AWS – Hands-on experience working with cloud-based data infrastructure and services
