Senior Pricing Analyst

Responsibilities
Participate in training, embrace concepts of and actively practice the SPOT Safety Program fundamentals to aid American Packaging Corporation’s efforts to achieve a zero-accident rate
Obtain pricing information from Salesperson, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Customer Service, APCS or SalesForce as needed for price quotes, combine material and manufacturing costs (material prices, machine hour rates, machine speeds, waste, set up time, etc.) and create accurate price quotes for customers
Analyze how company costs compare with competitor’s prices/costs received from Sales. Make appropriate recommendations to Business Development Manager/Division Controller/Director of Operations to ensure maximum profit should the decision to manufacture occur (manipulating material costs, waste, speed of machines, etc.). Initiate necessary interface with Production Control and Manufacturing in determining proposed adjustments
Coordinate completion of pricing in a timely manner and communicate status of any delays to sales personnel and Business Development Manager
Create and update existing price matrixes from material increase/decrease form. Continually create more efficient and effective matrixes, as well as pricing spreadsheets, utilizing state of the art computer software
Be proficient in Radius as it pertains to pricing within the COE
Make recommendations for improving pricing process
Take a leadership role in developing new or enhancing old pricing tools
Work with the Business Development Manager to prioritize weekly team output and review and approve day to day quote updates and basic APCS projects
Work with Accounting as required to further optimize the connection between pricing and costing functions to analyze ongoing business and provide feedback that will help guide business decisions
Take primary role in onboarding/training new personnel in the department
Investigate job cost actuals and give recommendation on actions for variances
Lead bid pricing and assist other analyst with bids as needed
Assist with budget including time, cost prices etc
Create transparent material review sheets as needed
Provide all necessary budgetary information as requested
Adhere to all company safety guidelines
Attend and participate in all company mandated meetings
Perform any other duties assigned by COE Business Development Manager

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in business, accounting or related field
three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations, customer specifications, graphics information, drawings and die lines
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
