Ohio Mutual Insurance Group is seeking an Actuarial Trainee to join their Business Analytics Department in a structured training program. The role focuses on acquiring actuarial skills, developing business models, and supporting financial analysis while pursuing actuarial credentialing through the CAS.

Responsibilities

Acquires knowledge of both actuarial methods and general business analytics, along with their practical uses

Develops, tests, and/or validates models that support experience analysis

Gathers and validates data to aid in the development of business models

Supports efforts in projecting financial results and sensitivity analysis

Summarizes and communicates results to technical and non-technical audiences

Takes CAS actuarial exams regularly as outlined in the company's actuarial program

Attends training classes, seminars, and other educational events

Attends weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings

Performs other duties as assigned

Experience working with and proficiency in using spreadsheet software

Minimum one (1) CAS/SOA actuarial exam passed

Preferred

2+ CAS/SOA actuarial exams passed

Prior relevant internship experience
