Responsibilities

Review and approve employee expense reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
Help employees understand expense guidelines and required documentation
Work with team members to correct or clarify expense submissions
Learn how expenses are categorized for internal reporting and compliance purposes
Keep clear records to support audits and internal reviews
Suggest improvements when you notice recurring questions or issues
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Assist team with process improvements
Other accounting related duties as assigned
Proficiency in MS Office, 10-key by touch
Thorough understanding of general ledger accounting practices
Outstanding attention to detail, proactive follow-up
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage tight deadlines and handle multiple complex tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment
Professional appearance, written and verbal skills
Maintains confidentiality with sensitive information

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (or demonstrated proven equivalent experience)
1-5 years of related work experience; engineering, construction, or architectural experience is highly preferred
Proficiency in MS Office, 10-key by touch
Thorough understanding of general ledger accounting practices
Outstanding attention to detail, proactive follow-up
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage tight deadlines and handle multiple complex tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment

Preferred

Engineering, construction, or architectural experience is highly preferred
Preference given to those with Deltek software experience, especially Vantagepoint
