Applications Developer II - Accounts Payable, Funds Management - 50

Responsibilities
Lead business and functional support for the Accounts Payable (AP) and Funds Management (FM) modules
Provide end-user support, troubleshoot issues, and document resolution steps for agency staff
Coordinate with technical developers to resolve system defects and validate enhancements
Manage annual configuration activities for Funds Management to enable statewide budget entry
Maintain budget rules, master data, and configuration settings in alignment with state financial policies
Develop and execute functional test scripts, scenarios, and results validation for system updates and patches
Collaborate with business owners to design and refine financial processes, recommend improvements, and propose new document types or configurations
Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure accurate integration between Finance modules
Provide training and mentorship to staff, as well as guidance to agencies on system changes or new functionality
Serve as a liaison between agency users, business owners, and IT developers to translate business needs into system solutions
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of financial systems, particularly in Accounts Payable, Funds Management, and budgeting processes
Experience troubleshooting, configuring, and testing ERP systems in a financial or government setting
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver timely results in a complex, multi-agency environment
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and documentation skills
Demonstrated ability to lead module support areas and collaborate across technical and business teams
Knowledge of financial process workflows and system security roles
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal staff, agency users, and external consultants
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and 2-5+ years of IT experience with emphasis in applications development and support
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
2–5 years of IT experience with emphasis in applications development, system support, or business analysis
Functional experience with financial systems—particularly Accounts Payable, Funds Management, General Ledger, or related modules
Prior experience supporting ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent platforms
Familiarity with state financial policies and procedures
Experience leading module testing, configuration, or user training
