Supervisor, Valve Repair Field Services

Responsibilities

Plan, direct, coordinate, manage and monitor all operational aspects of field operations
Manage team utilizations, ensuring billable time is maximized
Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals. Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output. Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures
Plan the use of human resources. Establish work schedules. Supervise staff. Monitor and evaluate performance
Develop Repair Plans
Identify opportunities for the development of new services
Cultivate and foster an environment of high-performance using training, performance management, career development, rewards and recognition. Oversee employee performance to job requirements and provide feedback, counseling, coaching and discipline as required
Support continuous development of Field Service personnel and support staff through performance reviews, coaching and continual feedback throughout the evaluation period. Oversee employee performance to job requirements and provide feedback, counseling, coaching and discipline as required
Develop and implement comprehensive training plans as necessary to satisfy the technical needs within the group ensuring all Field Service technicians are current on technology of our principals
Develop and schedule work assignments to maximize utilization and revenue generation of the available resources
Track, review and authorize overtime pay requests that meet the guidelines of the Company and Business Unit
Manage equipment maintenance and procure equipment as needed to support field operations
Provide technical support where necessary
Participate in the development and implementation of staffing plans to support Mechanical Services business; works with management, contractor agencies, and business partners, to obtain necessary resources
Lead the development of resource forecasts for the Field Services group to support the Final Control business units
Manage Vehicle Fleet
Drive quality, safety and consistency of all aspects of the Field Service group’s activities by developing and maintaining the following for each service deliverable: + Fully documented work processes and procedures + Job Safety Analysis + Job checklists
Help resolve personnel issues as needed
Work with Operations and Sales departments to resolve any nonconformance and execute effective corrective action to prevent
Develop extensive knowledge of Emerson Measurement Solutions products
Meet with Sales and Operations personnel on to ensure alignment of future projects
Support all sales teams in selling field service through. + Matching our capabilities with customer needs. + Creating quotes for specialized scopes of work. + Technical scope definition to ensure scope is known by all. + Meeting with Sales and Operation personnel on to ensure alignment of future projects. + Providing technical sales expertise
Understand and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures, which includes but is not limited to: + Instructing workers to follow safe work practices and safety policies and procedures + Correcting unsafe acts and unsafe conditions + Enforcing personal protective equipment requirements + Ensuring that employees timely complete safety training + Reporting and investigating all injury, accident, or near-miss incidents + Inspecting work area and taking action to minimize or eliminate hazards + Conducting periodic safety meetings + Completing safety training by the due date

Required

Associates degree or technical degree required. High School degree combined with years of experience accepted
Demonstrated Field Service with control valves, isolation valves, and/or pressure relief valves. Experience with field machining, welding, or and other field specific work
3+ years field service experience with process industry background, or a combination of education and experience
3+ years supervisory experience
Good level of PC proficiency including MS Office products, Windows operating systems, and networking
Excellent communication, personal and presentation skills
Excellent organizational and problems solving skills
Exhibits self-confidence, professionalism, good judgment, initiative, innovation and independent thinking
Strong ability to develop and implement both strategic and tactical plans in a multidimensional environment
Ability to lead, motivate and manage for results
Strong business acumen

Preferred

Service and Repair experience with Motor Operated Valves highly desirable
