Responsibilities

Define the problem and solution context with the business, and translate ambiguous and manual workflows into structured, scalable solutions for agentic systems
Act as the primary technical translator, leveraging AI/ML framework understanding to bridge the gap between business needs and technical possibilities
Leverage technical fluency to guide balanced team on system integrations and orchestration processes, ensuring the solution is feasible and scalable for the business
Conduct annual and mid-year reviews, reviewing individual development plans and providing performance feedback
Lead, direct work, mentor, and develop a team of program leads and specialists, fostering a culture of high performance and program rigor
Provide dotted-line, cross-functional management and direction to the Balanced Team members (i.e., Product Mgmt., Engineering, Data Science, and UX) to ensure seamless execution and collaboration on deliverables
Foster collaboration with direct reports and matrixed team members to drive value, identify and resolve impediments
Partner extensively with business teams to design and embed contextual AI solutions into key workflows
Coordinate the development of AI solutions and automation across business units and functional domains, ensuring the roadmap is executable and that reusable, governed components are leveraged
Define the operating model and integration strategy for functional AI tool adoption
Drive rigor and clarity into complex programs, translating technical risks and dependencies into business impact and vice-versa
Manage program tracking against the phased roadmap, focusing on schedule, scope, resource alignment, and mitigating cross-functional dependencies
Develop change management plan to ensure seamless integration and adoption of AI solutions with business teams
Serve as the primary program point of contact for the business teams to communicate transparent status updates and manage expectations
Ensure alignment of the AI program with broader enterprise-wide transformation goals
Monitor agents, measure results and report business outcomes to executive stakeholders
Focus resources on initiatives that deliver measurable time savings and demonstrate significant business value (ROI)

Required

Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
10+ years of total professional experience in a business, program, or product leadership capacity
5+ years of direct experience leading the implementation AI, ML, or Automation solutions into business-critical workflows at scale in a retail or large enterprise environment
5+ years of direct people management experience or demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams
Business Acumen & Translation: Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business implications and actionable requirements
Technical Process Optimization: Expertise in translating ambiguous or manual workflows into structured, scalable technology-driven systems and solutions
AI/ML Framework Understanding: Proficiency with the components of modern LLM architecture, GenAI systems, and model serving concepts
Minimum Years Of Work Experience: 10
Minimum Leadership Experience: 5

Preferred

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job
Prior experience working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional, modern software design and development team
Demonstrated experience with formal change management and/or leading business process transformation enabled by technology
Experience with Program Governance standards, including defining repeatable, governed components and applying ethical AI principles
Familiarity with orchestration frameworks and systems integration patterns used to connect AI services to enterprise applications (e.g., workflow orchestration, API gateways, vector databases, and cloud-native AI pipelines)
