Reliability Superintendent

Responsibilities
Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines
Understands and operates according to company programs, policies, and legislative requirements to meet environmental and quality standards and performance objective targets
Advises the Plant Manager/Maintenance Manager on all aspects of plant equipment reliability and function
Manages and supports Special Projects (CAPEX, Major Maintenance, etc.)
Provides budget input to the Maintenance Manager. Assists in developing and documenting the CAPEX plan
Works with the Reliability Engineer to develop and monitor the annual equipment shutdown plan, Reliability objectives, and targets. Manages and drives the CBM program
Leads reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) programs to identify critical assets, failure modes, and appropriate maintenance strategies
Leads the activities of the Reliability team FMEAs, Project meetings, etc
Reviews and provides feedback on the status of maintenance plans (daily, weekly, master)
Analyze equipment failure data and root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues
Conducts risk assessments and reliability studies to identify opportunities for improvement in asset reliability and performance
Works with Electrical Planner and Maintenance Planner to manage inventory levels, critical spare list, and motor replacement schedules
Collaborates with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to develop and optimize preventive maintenance schedules and procedures. Mentors and coaches staff to support their personal development
Provides technical training for equipment reliability, plant maintenance, and operations
Manages contractors and/or crews on outage projects for 2-3 annual shutdowns within the West Region
Leads the annual outage efforts via directing the outage planner on priorities, targeted timeline and budget, contractor needs, task sequencing, etc

Qualification
Required
4 year/Bachelors degree in Engineering is required
Minimum 5 years of experience with plant reliability programs
Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc
Proficient in effective written English, verbal communication, and listening skills
Ability to be focused on achieving results
Knowledge of industrial processes
High level of technical skills
Self-starter; strong planning and organizational skills
Demonstrate and foster a sense of urgency and a strong commitment to achieving goals
Ability to make decisions and solve problems with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to organize and write effective technical reports and communicate effectively
Ability to build a team, lead a team, and work with groups or contractors
Ability to effectively coach and deliver constructive feedback
Ability to analyze facts and to exercise sound judgment in arriving at a conclusion
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and monitor costs in parallel to the conclusion
Ability to establish a position as a positive role model and effectively utilize resources
Ability to build strong organizational and customer relationships
Preferred
Professional Engineering (PEP) is preferred
CMRP Certification is preferred
Prior maintenance experience is preferred
SAP and MS Project experience is preferred
Vibration Analysis Certification Level I & II is preferred
