Start in 2026 SummerNexstar Media Group, Inc. is looking for a dynamic Digital Intern for WAVY-TV 10/WVBT FOX43 for the Summer semester of 2026. The intern will write for the web, produce multimedia stories, and assist in operating the website while learning about the inner workings of a local newsroom.

Responsibilities
Write for the web
Produce multimedia stories about Hampton Roads
Assist in operating a dynamic website with regular updates
Create Facebook posts and Tweets
Promote coverage
Coordinate with the streaming channel production team
Qualification
Required
Completed journalism writing and editing courses
Working knowledge of WordPress
Working knowledge of CMS
Working knowledge of social media platforms
Videography course with a working knowledge of Adobe Premiere
Passion for telling local stories
Must be enrolled in a college degree granting program
Will be required to show proof of enrollment in an internship course within that program
Ability to work a varying schedule Sunday through Saturday
