College Counselor 26/27
BASIS Ed is seeking qualified candidates for a College Counselor for the 2026/27 school year. The College Counselor will be responsible for teaching college counseling workshops, completing reports, coordinating projects, and assisting students with college admissions and financial aid applications.

Responsibilities
Teaching a daily college counseling workshop to 12th graders
Completing college counseling reports
Serving as the Senior Research Project (SRP) coordinator
Organizing college admissions visits each fall
Conducting family college counseling evenings
Meeting one-on-one with 9th and 10th graders during the academic year
Instructing students on completing college admissions applications and financial aid applications and obtaining recommendations
Developing new program ideas
Co-leading college information evening sessions
Developing and maintaining college planning and career assessment and readiness software such as Naviance
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree, previous applicable experience
A valid fingerprint clearance and/or satisfactory applicable state background check
Preferred
A Master's degree, strong communication skills in speaking with parents, students; editing essays, and writing letters of recommendation
Critically, an applicant must possess a high GPA in his/her major, excellent employment recommendations, and experience working with students and parents
