Responsibilities

Help to ensure that Straub patients and their families receive warm, friendly and considerate assistance at Straub
Act as a liaison between patients and the professional staff in our Internal Medicine department
Assist with a variety of administrative tasks
Interviewing, registering, admitting, updating and creating patients’ medical records
Performing accurate and timely processing of all professional/technical fees generated by department providers
Performing cash handling and collection

Qualification

EPICICD-10 codingCPT codingBasic medical terminologyCustomer serviceClerical supportBasic computer skillsCommunication skills

Required

High school or equivalent
One (1) year of clerical support in a health care setting or related experience
Basic computer skills

Preferred

Basic medical terminology
Experience with EPIC
International Classification of Diseases 10th edition (ICD-10) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding certification
