Start in 2026 SummerNexstar Media Group, Inc. is seeking a dynamic intern for the Hampton Roads Show. The intern will work alongside producers, assisting with various production tasks including floor directing, prop setup, and maintaining the studio environment.

Responsibilities
Floor directing during the show
Greeting and putting mics on guests
Prop set up and take down
Clean/wrapping set after each show
Moving cameras
Kitchen cleanup
Posting stories to the website
Set up and clean up studio
Take photos in the studio
Serve as a floor director during the show
Qualification
Required
Courses completed in communications, tv production, journalism, theater or related field
Ability to stay calm under tight deadlines
Good communication skills with the team and guests
Willingness to learn the inner workings of a local newsroom
Must be enrolled in a college degree granting program
Will be required to show proof of enrollment in an internship course within that program
