Business Solutions Analyst III

Responsibilities

Leads cross-functional discovery for complex initiatives involving multiple business units and systems (e.g., multi-state product rollouts, major rating changes, new distribution or servicing capabilities)
Clarifies business goals/needs and desired outcomes before solutioning, ensuring alignment to FWCI’s strategic goals and value map
Models end-to-end processes and value streams, identifying friction, handoff issues, and controls; recommend future-state designs
Defines detailed business rules, data requirements, and non-functional expectations (performance, controls, regulatory/compliance needs)
Partners with Product Owners or business leads and project leaders to shape scope, MVP definitions, and phased delivery plans
Leads UAT strategy for complex releases, including risk-based testing, integration scenarios, and coordination across multiple teams
Serves as a key liaison between Business and Technology, ensuring 'checks and balances' while maintaining true ownership of business requirements
Leads cross-functional discovery; drives decision-making with structured options
Model’s end-to-end processes and value streams; identifies control points and risks
Mentors BA I and BA II team members; reviews artifacts, shares best practices, and helps uplift team capabilities
Guides diverse stakeholders toward decisions and shared understanding
Knowledge of broad P&C value chain (distribution → quote/bind → issuance → billing/service) and regulatory considerations
Knowledge of core insurance domains (policy admin, rating, billing, portals, data/reporting) and the relationships between them

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, technology, mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5–7+ years of business analysis experience in P&C Insurance (or equivalent), with significant exposure to complex projects and cross-system processes
Experience working in Agile and hybrid environments (sprints, releases, and Stage-Gate milestones)
Strong analytical skills, including comfort with data, metrics, and KPIs to inform decisions and measure outcomes
