Professor, Film and Media Composition - College of Entertainment and the Arts
Lipscomb University is a Christian liberal arts institution located in Nashville, Tennessee, inviting applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Media and Film Composition. Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate courses and applied lessons in media and film composition, as well as related areas, including theory, orchestration, and arranging
Provide both individual and group instruction and mentorship
Maintain an active and creative profile with regional, national, and international impact
Collaborate with the College of Entertainment and the Arts’ professional incubation hub (Imagine House), involving both professional and student film and animation projects
Participate in School and University service, such as committee work
Assist with student recruitment, mentoring, and community engagement
Qualification
Required
Hold a master's degree (doctorate preferred) in Music Composition or a closely related field, or possess equivalent professional experience
Demonstrate creative achievement and teaching effectiveness
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to utilize relevant technology
Preferred
Expertise in additional areas, such as orchestral conducting or instrumental performance
