NEOGOV is seeking a Hazardous Household Waste Technician to safely remove and transport hazardous materials from convenience centers. The role involves separating bulk materials, preparing shipments, and maintaining the facility under close supervision.

Responsibilities

Separates bulks materials received such as electronics, motor oil, fluorescent bulbs, etc
Prepares shipments for household waste to be removed from site by labeling with designated decals or stickers
Loads materials to transport to shop
Performs clean-up and general maintenance of facility
Performs related work as assigned

Qualification

HAZWOPER certificationValid state driver’s licenseHigh School diplomaRelated experienceSpecialized training

Required

Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent supplemented by specialized courses/training equivalent to completion of one (1) year of college
Over three months and up to and including six months of related experience
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving history

Preferred

40 Hour HAZWOPER certification preferred. To be obtained within 1 year of employment
