Responsibilities

Performs 12-Lead ECG, documents vital signs during stress testing, operates stress testing equipment, and electronic clinical workflow

Demonstrates the cognitive and technical skills required to acquire a 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) including appropriate preparation of skin surfaces, correct placement of electrodes and leads, accurate patient identification, and verification electronic upload of the ECG to the patient’s electronic medical record

Demonstrates proficiency in the configuration, communication, clinical use and trouble-shooting of FDA-approved medical devices including stress testing equipment

Provides communication with patients prior to their stress testing appointment with the correct appointment information and correct required prep

Required

High School Graduate or Equivalent

American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification must be obtained within six months of hire

Job requires sitting/standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling, reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive); Repetitive motion: Keyboard, console and workstation repetitive motion

Ability to lift/push/pull 20 – 50lbs

May be exposed to chemicals, radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease
