Operations Supervisor, 3rd Shift (Onsite)

Responsibilities
You will lead a team of bargaining unit workers that is responsible for the induction, teardown, rebuild, and final certification of all GTF engines overhauled in WPB
You will be directly involved in meeting all: EH&S, Customer, Quality, and Financial goals within the WPB GTF MRO facility
You'll lead by devising and executing operational strategies, production resource scheduling, and continuous improvement, while providing clear and crisp communication with EC leadership, peers, and subordinates

Provide direction to the operations team setting both near- and long-term operational objectives
Collaborate with support teams to establish work schedules taking into account customer requirements, resource availability, and other top priorities
Work actively to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving engine delivery / return goals
Effectively communicate cross functional requirements to ensure smooth process flow
Hold employees accountable while maintaining a quality working relationship
Ensure World Class safety culture is maintained and respond to all EH&S requirements promptly
Ensure full involvement in CORE continuous improvement initiatives - utilize CORE tools to improve production, performance, and reduce overall operating cost
Qualification
Required
Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in Military, Manufacturing, Business Operations Management, Engineering, Aerospace or Aftermarket industry; OR Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate's degree and 7+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma or Military / Technical Training and 9+ years of relevant industry experience
Preferred
Degree in STEM field; Engineering, Business or Supply Chain
Personnel management experience, particularly within a bargaining unit / union workforce environment
Proven ability to lead mentoring, coaching, developing talent and motivate teams to achieve business goals
Ability to read and interpret technical data, blueprints, and engineering drawings
Organizational and project management skills, PMP certification preferred
Aftermarket Aerospace and Overhaul and Repair (MRO) industry experience
Working knowledge of shop practices, quality standards, processes and procedures
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, QCPC and RCCA)
Experience using Microsoft Office, SAP, MRP materials management, and MS Office Suite
Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, shop personnel and customers
