Sr. Configuration Management Leader
VSE Aviation is seeking a Sr. Configuration Management Engineer who will be responsible for aerospace configuration management systems and processes. The engineer will manage the entire process from change initiation to customer approval to final release, ensuring compliance with internal and customer requirements while leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
Define and document configuration items and documentation such as engineering drawings and specifications
Develop and maintain configuration management policies, procedures, and guidelines aligned with industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001), regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA), and company objectives for aircraft systems, components, and software
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and technical support teams to define configuration requirements, document specifications, and maintain configuration data repositories (e.g., PLM systems, CMMS tools)
Implement and maintain version control systems for hardware ensuring traceability of changes and adherence to internal and regulatory requirements
Lead the establishment and maintenance of configuration baselines, version control, and change management processes for aircraft design, manufacturing, maintenance, and operational activities, ensuring accurate documentation and traceability
Develop and enforce change management processes for modifying configurations including submission, review, approval, and implementation of changes
Maintain accurate records including status, location, and history of configuration items, using configuration management databases

Qualification
Required
