Responsibilities
Create clear, compelling, and error-free written content that aligns with Habitat LA’s brand voice and resonates with diverse audiences
Edit and proofread copy to ensure consistency, accuracy, and a high standard of quality across all written and digital communications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand departmental goals, messaging needs, and target audiences
Develop impactful stories and campaigns through strong cross-departmental partnerships
Demonstrate a clear understanding of campaign objectives and communication strategies
Use creative and strategic copywriting to bring ideas to life while applying innovative and thoughtful problem-solving
Produce and manage the monthly •Habitat Happenings• newsletter
Draft and support the development of press releases and other media materials
Qualification
Required
Must be able to successfully pass a drug test, background check, (credit) authorization, and a driving record check
Must have access to reliable transportation to perform job duties, a valid CA Driver's License, and meet the state-required amount of personal automobile liability insurance
Demonstrated expertise in marketing, communications, or advertising writing, supported by a strong portfolio showcasing versatility across writing styles and subject matter
Proven ability to adapt writing tone and style to suit varied audiences and platforms
Minimum of 2 years of related professional experience
