Responsibilities
Handle legal matters related to collection of funds due to various city departments
Handle matters involving bankruptcy, hotel occupancy tax, and collection of judgments obtained for the city
Handle all aspects of litigation including research and writing, conducting discovery, appearing in court, mediating cases, pre-trial motions, trials, and post-judgment matters
Qualification
Required
At least two years of relevant experience in civil litigation
Experience in Texas state court civil litigation
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Licensed to practice law in Texas
In good standing with the State Bar of Texas
Thorough knowledge of financial statements
Knowledge of real estate lien priorities
Knowledge of foreclosures
Knowledge of bankruptcy
Knowledge of Texas exemptions
Knowledge of the Texas Business Organizations Code
