Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of CNC machining department to ensure production schedules are met
Supervise and lead team of CNC machinists, operators, and support staff
Plan and allocate resources including manpower, materials, and machine time for optimal efficiency
Ensure quality standards by monitoring processes, inspecting parts, and enforcing compliance with specifications
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machines, tooling, and programming
Maintain equipment through scheduling preventive maintenance and coordinating repairs
Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
Train and mentor employees on CNC programming, setup, and best practices
Monitor performance metrics such as productivity, scrap rates, and downtime; report to management
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize workflows and improve processes
Manage inventory of raw materials, tooling, and consumables
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Qualification
Required
CNC Lathe set up and programming
Previous Machine Shop Supervisory experience
Previous Metals Shop Industry Experience
