Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate
Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior
Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials and/or identification as required by site policies
Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to established protocols
Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and other Allied Universal personnel to support a secure environment for employees, patients, and visitors
Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies, including medical situations, alarms, or disturbances, in accordance with site-specific procedures
Qualification
Required
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Level III Armed Certification Texas Only is required
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Participate in industry-specific security training programs
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
