Staff Accountant II

Responsibilities

Assist with maintaining financial records and ensuring financial transactions are properly recorded by completely journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts
Coordinate accounting matters with other departments to resolve reconciling items and/or technical accounting issues
Evaluate internal systems and processes and recommend changes that would allow greater efficiency
Prepare support for external and internal financial audits, as needed
Support and back up other Accounting team members, as necessary
Excellent communication and writing skills to interact with varying levels of management, financial professionals, and professional staff
Critical thinking skills with the ability to plan ahead and conceptualize
Ability to prioritize and manage work processes/projects efficiently and effectively to meet set deadlines
Knowledge of general ledger accounting, practices, and principles
Prior NetSuite Accounting System experience is a plus, but not required

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or another related field
Minimum of 3-5+ years general accounting work experience required, with experience in a high-paced environment

Critical thinking skills with the ability to plan ahead and conceptualize
Ability to prioritize and manage work processes/projects efficiently and effectively to meet set deadlines
Knowledge of general ledger accounting, practices, and principles

Preferred

Previous securities or related industry experience preferred
Prior NetSuite Accounting System experience is a plus, but not required
