Director of Business Development, Cybersecurity
FTI Defense - Frontier Technology Inc. is seeking an ambitious Business Development Director with a focus on the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community cyber mission marketspace. The role involves leading business development efforts, managing a pipeline of cyber-related opportunities, and collaborating with various teams to align internal capabilities with customer demands.
Responsibilities
Build, manage, and grow a high-value pipeline of cyber-related opportunities, leveraging relationships, market insights, and understanding of mission priorities across the DoD
Drive the identification, shaping, and capture of new business opportunities in support of DoD Cyber Security
Collaborate with operational, technical, and functional leaders across FTI to align internal capabilities with external customer demands, bringing forward differentiated and competitive solutions
Assist in guiding potential customers by demonstrating technology solutions, architectures, capabilities, and potential acquisition paths for early-stage opportunities, working with internal technical and program management teams to develop responses for requests for information (RFI), market surveys, white papers, presentations, briefings, and major event demonstrations
Support bid/no bid decisions, proposal strategy development, resource planning, and overall capture execution
Maintain a clear understanding of customer funding profiles, acquisition strategies, and emerging requirements to proactively position FTI
Contribute to internal growth planning efforts including strategic planning and market analysis relevant to the cyber domain
Help foster a culture of growth, accountability, and high performance within the BD team
Develop and deliver reports and briefs as required
Travel as required by business need
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Secret security clearance; Top Secret (TS) preferred
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
10+ years in federal business development, with at least 5 years focused on cybersecurity programs
Demonstrated success in identifying, capturing, and winning complex cyber programs or contracts, including both new and re-compete opportunities
Familiarity with mission priorities, acquisition environments, and cyber operations within the DoD
Technical or operational background in one or more of the following areas: offensive cyber operations, cyber intelligence, cyber frameworks and infrastructure, defensive cyber capabilities, or information assurance
Experience managing or supporting BD pursuits across various contract types (FFP, T&M, cost-plus) and contract vehicles (IDIQs, GWACs, OTAs, SBIRs)
Strong business acumen and an ability to align capabilities and investments with evolving market trends and customer priorities
Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated success working with executive stakeholders, customers, and partners
Experience leading cross-functional teams through capture processes and business growth initiatives
