Natural Lands Internship
Mt. Cuba Center offers a Natural Lands Internship providing hands-on experience in ecological land management and conservation. Interns will work with the Natural Lands team on land management tasks and projects focused on ecosystem function and services while receiving training in ecological concepts and restoration techniques.

Responsibilities
Participate in non-native invasive species identification and management
Assist with habitat improvement projects through various restoration techniques
Support ecological monitoring and data collection
Contribute to land management operations and maintenance
Learn and implement various invasive species control practices
Operate land management equipment including hand and power tools
Assist with habitat health assessment and improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
Minimum one year of college completed
Current enrollment in or completed coursework in Horticulture, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Conservation, or related field
Ability and willingness to work outdoors in various environmental and physically demanding conditions
Strong attention to detail and work ethic
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred
Previous experience in land management or conservation work
Knowledge of native and non-native plant species
Experience with land management equipment and tools
Understanding of basic ecological principles
Background in habitat restoration or invasive species management
