Responsibilities

The Laboratory Technical Assistant performs in-vitro analysis of biologic specimens according to the procedures established for routine areas of the laboratory

The Laboratory Technical Assistant participates in the supportive functions of quality control, instrument operation, limited troubleshooting, and limited problem resolution

LTA would be responsible for specimen processing, waived testing and phlebotomy at any of the 5 North Market Marshfield Clinic locations

Will be scheduled Monday- Friday with varying shifts (Days)

Shifts can vary in length depending on site

Person must be willing to be available start work at 645 AM in any location and flexible to travel to any site that needs help

Laboratory proceduresLaboratory equipmentBasic Life Support (BLS)Laboratory Information SystemsPhlebotomy experienceBasic lab techniquesChemistry knowledgeBiology knowledgePhysical science knowledge

Required

Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire for those involved in direct patient care

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation
