Allied Universal is North America’s leading security and facility services company, and they are seeking a Security Officer - Armed Hospital Patrol in Reading, PA. In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, provide exceptional customer service, and help deter security-related incidents in a manufacturing and industrial environment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by performing security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate judgement and training

Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues

Monitor entrances, exits, and access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and protect property within a manufacturing and industrial environment

Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to employees and visitors

Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and suspicious activities according to Allied Universal protocols

Work collaboratively with site personnel and local law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergency situations

Carry and responsibly handle an assigned firearm in accordance with Allied Universal policies and all applicable laws and regulations

Required

At least one year of armed security-related experience, law enforcement experience, or military experience is required

Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law

Participate in industry-specific security training programs

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
