Responsibilities

Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
As Apprenticeship Program instructor for the Programs track, revise and update curriculum, and teach apprentice cohorts in a classroom setting. Mentor and professionally support all programs' apprentices both while at Headquarters, and once deployed to field offices
Support international field offices by providing roving program support (typically for an average of 30 days) to fill gaps in key positions, such as Program Manager and Program Development Officer. Provide technical assistance throughout the project cycle, including on the design, implementation, monitoring, and closeout process; mentoring and building field staff program management capacity and skills through the development and delivery of trainings; supporting the writing, coordinating, and reviewing of project proposals and reports; and ensuring proposals are technically strong and align with relevant international and internal standards. Support strong program management, effective and realistic M&E, and quality reporting across programming. Also assist field offices by representing Samaritans Purse at UN Cluster and other coordination meetings, and networking with other organizations
Support the work of Disaster Assistance Response and Incident Management Teams as required, including deployment to disaster settings
Support the development of technical resources and tools on key program management topics in order to build field office capacity
Review and provide feedback on project proposals and reports to ensure strong project design, M&E, and reporting across Samaritans Purse programming

Required

Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year College or university and a minimum of two (2) to five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred
Must have experience in either grant writing OR program management
Experience working for humanitarian organizations, including international NGOs preferred
Field-level grant-writing experience with major donors (governments and UN agencies)
Working knowledge of the grant submission processes and donor requirements of major donors such as the UN, FCDO, and DOS/PRM, etc
Ability to coordinate both financial and programmatic functions of grant management
Technical writing skills required, including developing proposals, training/instruction manuals, and reports
Field experience in the implementation of relief and development programming
Excellent communication skills, written and oral proficiency in English
Strong skills in analytical and strategic thinking
Ability to develop and carry out work plans and solve problems independently
Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment, including disaster situations
Excellent knowledge of computer applications, in particular proficiency required in MS Word, MS Excel, and Power Point

Preferred

Experience working for humanitarian organizations, including international NGOs preferred
Field-level grant-writing experience with major donors (governments and UN agencies)
